Ben, Rachel, Lydia and Noah serve at Living Waters Village on the island of Borneo, in Indonesia. Living Waters Village is a refuge, a place of friendship, and equipping ground for underprivileged, Dayak tribal children. The building of the village began in 2003 with the vision of building boarding homes for 1,000 children, schools for 2,000, a medical clinic with 14 rooms, a hospital and a Bible school. Many children in our region live so far out in the jungles they cannot attend any form of schooling, receive medical treatment or are so poor they need immediate help. Parents often times bring their children to us sick and malnourished. We also have some beautiful orphans that are part of our large family.
Rivers of Life Ministries is quickly growing with over 300 children and staff to care for and share the love of Jesus with. Our heart is to help bring words of encouragement, discipleship, and training to our leaders and teachers. We do this as we build relationships with the people we work with. Ben helps oversee the building projects at Living Waters Village and Rachel oversees the running of the elementary school. (Isa 61:1-3 NIV) The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion-- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
